Murals Gdansk Zaspa - Monumental Art Collection
Description:
One of the world's biggest galleries of monumental art, currently comprised of 60 murals, out of which 58 came into existence during 8 editions of the Monumental Art Festival (2009-2016). The mural paintings on the walls of the Zaspa district's blockhouses have been created by artists from Poland and from all over the world, including countries like Argentina (Zosen Bandido), Greece, Italy (Ozmo), Uruguay and many other.
During the summer season free tours take place, unfortunately only in Polish language. For the possibility to organize a tour in English, get in touch with Instytut Kultury Miejskiej.
The Zaspa district itself is an interesting example of Poland's rough architecture from the socialist period.
