The Medieval was a turbulent time, but also a time when art and architecture thrived. This exhibition at the National Museum in Gdansk presents its most precious treasures - polychromed figures, gilded altars, painted panels, sculptures (f.e. the Roman Madonna, one of the oldest wooden sculptures in Poland), liturgical textiles and many other unique items.
