Medieval Treasures / National Museum in Gdansk

The Medieval was a turbulent time, but also a time when art and architecture thrived. This exhibition at the National Museum in Gdansk presents its most precious treasures - polychromed figures, gilded altars, painted panels, sculptures (f.e. the Roman Madonna, one of the oldest wooden sculptures in Poland), liturgical textiles and many other unique items. read more

Italy in Gdansk / Exhibition / National Museum

The 'Italy in Gdansk' exhibition is the first attempt to show the Italian heritage in Gdansk from th 14th until the end of the 18th century, and a result of a 4 year long project of the Gdansk National Museum. Most of the selected objects have never been exhibited yet. They include manuscripts, books, liturgical objects made from Italian fabrics, paintings, drawings, glass artworks and more. read more

Polish Rock'n'Roll / Exhibition / Gdansk Museum

This exhibition at the Gdansk Museum celebrates 60 years since the Polish rock'n'roll movement, called 'bigbit', was born. It features musical instruments from 1959-1970, which belonged to the era's most famous Polish artists and bands (f.e. Czesław Niemen, Czerwono Czarni, Czerwone Gitary), as well as their stage outfits and personal items. read more
